Colette has brought Zachary home! After an extended stay, Zachary is now out of the hospital. Colette is caring for him 24/7, and so will be unable to return to RMM at this time.
Colette asked that we keep her family in our prayers, as Zachary's recovery will be long and difficult. She expresses her heartfelt gratitude for the donations you have sent in to the benefit fund on her behalf, and especially for the love and support you have shown her during this tragedy.
Dear Friends of Rosenberg Railroad Museum,
As you may be aware, a member of the Rosenberg Railroad Museum family has suffered a terrible tragedy. On June 28, 2013 Colette Lock, the Museum's Administrator, got the news that there was a fire at her home and rushed to discover that her grandson, Zachary, had been badly burned and injured. He was life-flighted to Hermann Memorial Hospital where he remains in critical care in the Burn Unit. He has made tremendous progress considering the extent of his injuries but has a long and painful recovery ahead of him.
In the meantime, Colette has not returned home since this happened on June 28th. Unfortunately, her home is not livable for herself and Zachary and she will need to make repairs or find new living accommodations.
If you are interested in helping the family with medical expenses and personal expenses, please see the options at the left. You may donate by mail or in person, or use the link to access a secure site that will allow you to make a donation online to an account that is being managed on her behalf. Monies will be distributed to the family as needed.
Thank you so much for your support and well wishes.
